LIABILITY Third party insurance, Theft protection and CDW insurance are included in all rentals. Theft protection does not cover, when a car is stolen with doors unlocked or keys inside. Own liability of CDW/SCDW insurance applies on cases when the car is stolen.
SUPER COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER (SCDW) CDW insurance is included in all rentals, with liability in excess of ISK 200.000,- SCDW insurance is available for a cost of isk 1.700,- per day. By purchasing SCDW insurance the self risk is lowered to ISK 40.000,- The following are not covered by CDW or SCDW insurance: e.g. negligence, driving while intoxicated, damages to tires, headlights, wind screen and the underside of the car, damages caused by loose rocks which get thrown at the car on gravel roads, damages to the engine of the car caused by water getting into the motor.
GRAVEL PROTECTION (GP) Gravel protection (GP) covers damages to wind screen, headlights and the car body when gravel or rocks get thrown at the rental car by another car.
